Hindu vs Traditional Squats

I know the big fad is hindu squats but what benefit do they have over traditional squats if any?

I prefer baithaks because they provide a full-body workout, are flowing and rhythmic, and seem to boost my metabolism. Regular, horizontal, BW squats don't come close to providing me the same overall benefits. YMMV.
