Hindu pushups

Anybody else do these? Just started doing inverted hindu pushups, where you retrace the dipping motion backwards after going forward. Did a ton last night and my chest feels like someone beat me with a 2x4.

Yargh.

I always felt them far more in my shoulders than anything else, which is a little odd given that generally my shoulders can outperform my arms and chest.

...but yes, I'm a fan, and retracing the motion is soooooo much better than just popping back to the starting position (this goes for all variations of the movement, IMO).

The main phases look way more shoulder focused that chest focused. That is why they kill your shoulders.

Personally I like regular push ups, wide grip/ close grip, but to mix things up is great.

I always called those "seal" pushups... I wasn't sure if it was the Navy kind or the kind you club...

Yeah, they are good stuff. Those and alligator crawls. Really get your shoulders and chest burning.
