help with fallen arches...

Hi,

Anyone have similar problems with there legs or feet?

I have used somewhat custom $80 insoles for my shoes for over 10 years...

People sometimes get surgery, but that really is not my thing...

Any web sites for advice or specific types of professionals I should see for advice?
massge?accupuncture?pills?

Money WOULD be an issue...

The back and whole body are affected by this... at least it feels that way...

Hey, sorry I don't have any answers for you, but I was wondering exactly what are fallen arches and how did it happen to you?

I'm assuming you used to have high arches in your feet and something happened to cause them to tear/collapse and "fall"? I'm asking because I have high arches and definitely don't want that to happen to me.

And yeah, anything to do with your feet can throw your whole body out of whack. I believe the plantar warts that sat on the ball of my feet for almost five years led me to subtly change so many motions, leading to some minor knee, hip and back problems. Good luck with that...looks kind of painful.

i have the same issue and have worn expensive (400- 500 dollar) orthodics for 15 years or so now. i went to a podiatrist (may be called a chiropodist in Canada) because i hade sunken arches and was knock kneed (still have both), to the point where walking and running were extremely painful on my joints. the orthodics are an insert into the shoe (probably exactly like the insoles you are talking about) that are made exactly for you. i went thru many tests and castings before they were made. i can walk and run pretty much pain free nowadays, and have had the same orthodics for at least the last 10 years, probably more. i am so used to them that if i were shoes/sneakers/boots without them it feels very strange.

and to the other poster you cannot develop sunken arches(to my knowledge), they are a product of poor genetics.

Thanks for the replys...

Johnny: I was born with fallen arches...

standard: what do you think would cause these poor genetic?breeding with other cultures?? inbreeding?? was this problem common more so in a certain century?? lack of nutrition?? maybe living differently in the past??
I do not like to call things "poor" , but find out why you did develop it... its a pretty brutal spot to kick with... more on a spiritual level...
