Headaches and Flab...What to do?

Alright guys, two questions.

After working out lately (actually before really getting into it) I have been getting severe headaches. I was only able to go maybe 10 minutes today before having to quit. Near unbearable. Happened yesterday too after running maybe a half a mile, once again, had to stop and walk back in pain. Any ideas what can cause this?

Second of all...Just lost around 60 lbs over the past year/year and half...when from around 250-195 upon last check (24yo - 6 foot 2/3"). Ive been big all my life and now that the weights gone...I just have the flab that was holding it there....pretty damn disgusting. Anything i can do to target this problem?

I think the only way to get rid of the flab would be surgery. It happens when you go from being fat and losing a lot of weight. Not sure if it's the same with your case though.

This is a link for "Dry Skin Brushing" There are people on another board that I'm on...that have lost significant wieght (over 100lbs) and swear by this. If you do a google I'm sure you'll find a ton of things about it. It won't happen over night, but give it a few months and see what happens. At the worst, you've exfoliated and wasted ten minutes

The headache...I would make sure you are drinking and eating enough.

Headache: Since your headaches come about after you start working out (correct? not midday, or when you wake up, etc.), make sure you are breathing deeply when you are running. When lifting, don't hold your breath. Water intake also plays a role in headaches while lifting and running. You said you have tripled your water intake, which I assume means through out the day, however you still must continue to drink water during your workouts. You don't have to drink gallons of water, just take a 15 second break and try to down a couple of sips every 10 minutes or so.

Also, with your weight loss, you must be on a good diet. Make sure your Iron intake is normal for your workout routine.

headaches could be caused by trigger points in trapezius muscle, which wouldnt surprise me if it gets worse with running as you will be contracting trapezius to hold your shoulders up.

Does it reproduce the symptoms by holding your shoulders up near your ears? especially after running.

Try relaxing your shoulders while you run, also perhaps get someone to give you a thorough massage of trap's. If that relieves the headache then it probably is a trigger point.

Also keep your head up looking forward while you run, dont look at the ground.
