hamstring exercise?
i try to work out all the different muscles in my legs, but i don't want to do heavy compound stuff like squats and clean and jerks, as a lot of ppl get injured doing those. but i heard that the leg curl is not a functional exercise. is this true? what can i do to exercise the hamstrings without using olympic lifts if this is true?
my leg workout:
lunges (3X10) - free weight
calf machine
leg press
abductor machine
adductor machine
leg curl
i have been doing deadlifts with the bar only but have thought about phasing these out of my program because i already do a lot of supermans
1. does the leg curl give functional strength?
2. does the leg curl machine lead to injuries?
3. if no to number one, is there another exercise (that does not rely on olympic lifts or heavy compound lifts that i can do)
thanks for the responses
