Getting the Wind Knocked Out of You

Not sure if this belongs here but it seems like the best place. I'm wondering how you prevent getting the wind knocked out of you when you get hit in the Solar Plexus. My friend says over time you'll become immune to it after getting hit there so much. Is this true or do you have to have really built up abs?

For me if I get hit anywhere in my stomach it doesn't really bother me but if I get hit in the solar plexus I'm probably going to have the wind knocked out of me. Any tips/suggestions?

It temporaily stuns your diaphram. building your abdominal muscles would help some. I imagine that you could build up an immunity to it.

get someone you punch your solar plexus every day after training for two weeks and let me know if you build up a tolerance. heh.

abs help, but knowing how to take a shot is probably more imortant then having a 6 pack. The stand up forum would probably be a better place to ask this.
