Icon14 This forum rocks!

Well... I'm kind of what you would call a lurker.... Don't post much but I do a lot of reading and stuff in the S&P forums and here in the Conditioning forum...

I thought I'd get back into the groove of things... After I turned 21 I gained weight for once in my life... but it was the wrong kind haha... Didn't gain much but it was a good 10 lbs... I'm 5'6" and I was hitting 160ish... I worked it off in a few month of working hard and watching what I was eating from this forum... But I was still boozing so the results weren't amazing, but I lost the 10lbs and then some... I weigh a good 147 lbs, a more lean weight I guess. I didn't run much I just did a lot of lifting, circuit training, supersets... etc... Didn't do running... probably maybe at most 1 or twice... Just didn't like it. But I went out and deiced to see what my mile run was. Well, went out to the local school with a track and went at it. Well nothing to scoff at but for somebody that has probably run 3-4 times in the last 6 month... I pulled a 7:31. I hope to pull that down by at least one minute.

Well, I was pretty happy, thought I'd do worse. Anyway just thought I'd drop by and post up. But this forums is great for anybody looking for new ideas or a place to start or just information. I do plan on hitting some MMA gym by Ivan Salaverry sooner or later once I'm more into school and less into work.

Someone who has ran 3-4 times in their life runs a faster mile than me? You have just motivated me beyond all common sense.

A workout like that of an MMA gym/training center will duplicate you're results and get you in shape 10X faster. Go for it!
