Female workout.

I was wondering if anybody could give me any suggestions for a workout routine for my girlfriend.

Monday-Friday

She's 16 about 5'2 and 140 lbs and really wants to lose weight.

What she's doing now is about 30-45 minutes on an elliptical everyday and some with some light weight lifting.

I was wondering if anybody that knows more about it than me can give me some suggestions on what might be a more effective workout.

She wants to be smaller by about the end of April which is plenty of time so nothing over the top or dangerous.

20 - 30 lbs loss is her goal.

I got a work out for her right here! *grabs E-penis*

just tell her to do the stairmaster half hour 3 times a week, and some light weight machines and tell her to lay off the carbs.

I should spend less time on the computer and more time training.

Does anybody have a sets/reps day to day schedule for me though?

If not I'll make my own and post it hopefully to get your opinions.

Make her do 5x5. Whatever she does let her do Squats and Deads, maybe some 12-15 rep lunges for muscle tone(since she is a girl). Let her master an olympic lift. 30 min is a lot for cardio. I don't do more than 15ish(being a wrestler and MMA fighter), but over 20 is pretty long.

Girls are human, right?

Buy her Starting Strength, Infinite Intensity and Never Gymless. And link her to the FAQ.

have her vary it up. Elliptical, stairmaster, whatever... but make sure she actually runs. Not like treadmill garbage. Like outdoors. And then have her run hills. That's my solution for everything. Sheds calories, and builds endurance. And if you do it enough in one day, you'll actually burn calories long after the workout's over.

There are a ton of things she can do. You can even incorporate some training in that. Check out this blog where there is on on training which can always be modified. Check it out and ask any questions.
