Don't ya just love hittin' that heavy bag!

I probably shouldn't have started a thread about this but who cares.
I just got done with my workout today. It was a heavy bag workout 12 x 3 mins, to simulate boxing (obviously). I felt AMAZING! - it's not that often that I feel really great after a workout but this is different.

I workout about 6 days a week doing a variety of things from BJJ, Boxing, running, swimming, weights, conditioning drills etc and I've come to the conclusion that nothing makes me feel better and smashing the heavy bag. The weather's great here today also, it's about 20 celsius, so not too hot and not too cold.

Do you have a workout that you look forward to above most ?

Apologies if (a) you thought this thread was pointless and (b) if you feel it was better suited to the boxing or stand up technique forums...

after 6 rounds on the heavy bag I want to die. I also throw a shit ton of punches a round on the bag. If im not throwing alot, I feel stupid on the bag, lol

ye i love the heavy bag, however i dont use the heavy bag as much for condition as i do with thai pads, or hands pads, i'd rather do 10 rounds of pads, but i find that a heavy bag is awesome for power.

dude i hit the bag this weekend, and went golfing afterwards and shot a 39 on 9 holes after playing one round in about three years. i felt great and loose and was crushing the ball if i could putt and chip worth a shit i would have been under par. heavy bags are great and alot of fun, so is jumping rope. boxing workouts in general are awesome!

it keeps guard while i sleep. every day i do rounds on it i see it becoming a little more worn than the previous day. its great putting miles on it. i like hitting the areas where it has settled to losen it up for knees and kicks. best money i ever spent

I love my heavy bag and can barely keep away from it daily. Its the most fun of my conditioning!

We did 10x2 minute rounds of the Bas Rutten Thai Boxing CD as warmup at our mma class last week, starting with shadowboxing before moving onto the bags. Made the 'back against the cage wall' part of the session extra tiring!
