Does cold/warm shower increase metabolism?

Ive read that a cold shower can increase metabolism because the body needs to work bring the body back on temperature, is this true, and what warm shower or sauna?

Yes, it does increase metabolism but not significantly that it would be suitable as a means of fatloss. It is, however, effective for increasing recovery.

It takes time for your metabolism to make adjustments, sometimes days. As far as cold or warm showers; cold reduces inflammation which is needed for adaptations. I don't recommend it unless you need a very quick semi recovery.

Yep. It would be very insignificant unless your showers are hours long and very cold.

how about for blue balls? i try to get in at least 7 days without jacking off prior to a comp.

alot of people say you lose alot of Test. through Masturbation and if your seriously training you shouldn't do it during the week...

I dont belive this to be true, i had had masturbations then trained heavy weights at the GYM like an hour afterwards, i've also done this with Muay Thai sessions...

It's not true.

They did some sort of Sports Science/breakin myths show on Discovery. Some pro football player had a workout after he banged his wife the night before...

turns out he had better workout results and higher testosterone levels after he had sex

if i can find a clip of the show (or remember the name of it) , i'll post it
