Developing fast-twitch muscle fibers

Are there any specific routines or techniques you fellows use to aid in this?

Sprinting and heavy lifting.

Did didn't specific what part of the body you are talking about btw. You could be talking about methods to increase your height during plometric push ups for all I know, but I assume you're refering to the legs.

these sites look cheesy, but they cover alot of the training I did as a wrestler, and I can say with 100% certainty, it made my quick twitch fibers fire way faster

I've heard too many horror stories about people permanently injuring themselves trying to build fast-twitch muscles with creative exercises.

Weights are nice and safe.

if you wanna develop fast twitch fibers you need to do two things:

1)read some articles(scientific) about fast twitch fibers so you actually know what the hell they are. a lot ppl talk about them, but don't know a lot about the physiology of muscles. go to pubmed for articles... PubMed Home

2)after reading at least 3 articles you should understand them enough to think of exercises that use fast twitch fibers. do those exercises.

i'm a believer in educating yourself and then making decisions, don't take some websites advice... like the above poster said, some of them are shady and ppl can get hurt doing exercises incorrectly.

i am going to assume heavy weight lifting = heavy resistance, right?

if thats the case, i assume bodyweight exercises that functions the same way as lifting heavy does (maximal strength?) will also build fast twitch fibers?
