I usually ride over 400kms a week on holidays and run every day during the school term. I tell you know i'd much rather run than ride. Riding for me gets my body into the shape i want, and running makes my cardio level better.

Given a choice - i'd probably choose running over the two, but nothing beats watching movies or music vidoes whilst im riding the exercise bike at home. But imo both are important.

Different kinds of pain. Blunt force trauma doesn't deter me. Muscle cramps and joint pains do.

A large part of the problem I'm having now has to do with the job I worked. I was working produce at a grocery store and throwing around 50 pound boxes of bananas all day tore the shit out of my legs. I'm still not fully recovered from that bullshit.

I say this a lot: run on grass. Treat the street like its a river of lava. After doing my run on grass my legs are no more sore than they would be had I been riding my bike.

Yea I also run on the grass as much as possible. It really helps the joints. When it comes to running and cycling I would have to say running. I do both, but I fell that running helps more than cycling.

Stop being a pussy and run. cyclings not bad but it doenst replace it. Ignore the gorilla and tabata crap too. Run, 2 miles at first, build up to 5 or 6 miles. Vary the terrain you run in, run in a park one day, run in the woods the next, run on the street the next time. I personally find nothing more satisfying than a run through the woods though. Then once you get up to runnin 5 miles , add like 2 days of sprints or hill sprints in there.

As far as running distance goes, you will learn to love it cuz you will get the proverbial runners high. Im not joking you will feel like a million bucks after you pull yourself up off the ground. Lifting may increase testosterone but i feel at best afte ra long run. So hope that tells you something.
