cycling for fight conditioning

I started boxing about 4 months ago, and prior to that I raced road and mountain bikes for about 3 years. I was wondering what people thought about, instead of running(which I cant do for shit) if I can do like bike rides instead and still be conditioned enough to fight. I'm not talking about like 45 minute long rides, I mean like 3 hour rides with sprints and stuff. Would that be sufficient or should I stop bitching and run?

Cycling is my main method for conditioning/cardio but I do incorporate some running either once or twice a week.

A 3 hour ride is a bit excessive in my view. A long ride for me is 30-45 minutes but most of my bike workouts are HIIT oriented.
