correlation between ADD and LSD running?

does anyone know or think their is any connection between people who have a hard time staying focused for extended amount of time and long steady running.
I feel like it can go both ways. If u have a hard time staying focused your running might slack but also it might be good cause u end up thinking about different things and not focusing how hard the run is.
thoughts?

This seems to be a generally speculative topic, but I think if you ask most LSD runners, they basically "zone out" after a few miles and just go on autopilot.

I was never like that, even when I ran cross country back in the day. I find LSD cardio intensely boring...and while I don't have ADD, I am generally impatient and easily bored...so take that how you will.

I doubt I could run at all on LSD.

I always thought of it as 'long, slow, distance'...doesn't matter, I guess.

Some people can't run without an ipod, some like peace and quiet. I have the easiest time running with my dogs. I almost always trail run and my interactions with them help pass the time.

I rarely feel good running alone, with no music. It's boring.

If you're asking because you hate running and find it boring, then you're not alone. Get an ipod or pick up a large breed dog from a no-kill shelter and take it out for an hour or two on the weekends (if you don't have a dog, or friends or family with one). Dogs love to run and the feeling is infectious.

Yeah, I've seen that one, too...like you said, same dif.

BTW, my Labrador hates LSD...whenever I try to run with her, she takes off at a dead sprint and I have to struggle to keep up with her for about 20 seconds...and then she realizes that we aren't stopping and realizes, "Wow, this is stupid," and she'll slow down to a trot and refuse to run unless I pick up the pace with intermittent sprints. She's an extremely atheltic dog, but she doesn't have much of a middle ground between "sprint" and "walk" lol.

with adhd, how an individual relates to a given activity has to do with how they experience reward. this is why they will sit there and play those damned video games, surf the web, or play some sport for 12 hours straight, but they cannot make themselves read a book for the life of them. basically lsd running is an activity that produces pretty immediate "rewards" (mostly dopamine release) in the grand scheme of things. it's not something you can simply chalk up to being interesting from the point of view of an outside obser oh holy shit jon and kate are on tv!

I've only had one lab...she was very chunky and not the brightest thing (bless her heart )

It's easy running with my two shepherds. They are pretty smart and help me keep a consistent pace.

Yellow - English, with the small head and feet. You have good old-fashioned, big-headed American Labs? Great dogs.
