Cool exercise (not sure about name)

Been making a lot of progress doing these of late...



You can do them without a partner if you have an incline situp board. There are plenty of variations - punch combos like above (alternatively you could position the situp board infront of a heavy bag and swing to kill), hold a couple of DBs for presses, curls, etc. You can even use a BB or a sandbag held to your chest. Try it out. As fun and effective as they are painful.

I've heard them called stand-up sit-ups. I think Nigel Benn mentions using them in Gary Todd's "Workouts from Boxing's Greatest Champs"

Believe it or not I was taught that shit during my Kung-Fu deadly days. That and a whole lot of bodyweight exercises. That has to be a plus for Kung-Fitness.

yeh i remember reading that in "dark trade". It was either benn or frank bruno.

Haha, yeah i think it was some black brit boxer. I didnt think the book was that good so i skimmed thru it and consequently my recollections are hazy. The only things that really stuck out where Kostya Tszyu 's and Ricky Hatton's workouts.
