Conditioning for MMA Tourny

The ISCF is putting on the World Amateur MMA Classic tournament towards the end of April. There is going to be an open and a novice division per weight class. I'm thinking about entering the novice division. Does anyone have any ideas on how getting ready for multiple fights in a weekend needs to be changed from conditioning for a normal fight?

I would think that your focus should be on recovery. As important as anaerobic conditioning is for MMA I would spend alot more time on straight up aerobic conditioning. That and interval training. And of course diet will come in to play between matches and prefight prep. Be prepared to eat. We haven't decided to whether to go or not. My guys are use to that format with boxing and judo tournys.

You still intrested in Feb 17. Should have match ups begining of Jan.

That's what I thought too. When I was in high school I went to a lot of wrestling tournaments, but I didn't think about stuff like this back then so I didn't research it.

Honestly I forgot about it, but I'm still interested. Let me know when you have someone in mind for me to fight at 185.
