Running two miles in three foot snowdrifts.....eh, not so much.

I am working on my chin though.

I've decided I will give it a go in the coming months. I'll have to start out in my garage and use mapmyrun.com to figure out the route (and go at 4am to avoid any traffic).

The pushups will surely be my weak spot, everything else I'm confident on.

Take inspiration in your signature.

I do pushups in this way:

feet elevated higher than my shoulders, one foot stacked on the other.
hands on blocks (or step ladders) and bring my shoulders passed my hands.
Sets of 20 reps, 3-4 sets.

Banging out 100 convential reps is cake.

Yeah, I was going to do it in about a week (after my tournament), then I realized there's about a foot of snow on my track...

Rule Change

Seeing how alot of us are in the exact same boat with our weather conflicting with being able to do this contest we might as well make some changes to let more people give this a try. I don't mind running outside when its cold but i cant even see where the tracks are at the moment and the ice on them makes it worse.

Running CAN be done on a treadmil, an incline of 1 -2% must be used to increase the difficulty so that it mimicks that of real running.

Ok, I just tried to do it and if you were to watch me, you would have surely disqualified me.

The pushups took me 3:15

The situps took me 4:49, but after 88, my arms were not even touching my head anymore.

The chinups took me 2:18, but the last 8 were one at a time and I was getting too much lift from jumping and I still barely got above the bar.

And then I ran with my upper body buldging and full of lactic acid. 13:43. I ran on a treadmill at a 0% grade. The standard to make it comparable to outside is 1%, but this is Standard's challenge so what he says goes.

Total time 24:07.

I have a lot of work to do, but I can't be the only one who tried this.
