esdoornblad, the high volume really make it alot worse, i can hit about 60 pushups too but that 100 as quick as you can just makes it murder, i think i was doing singles and doubles at 90+.

Hope to see i a time from you,

I'm also kicking the desk job, 15 years your junior though.

know very few guys at my office that could even do this competition in an hour.

I did 70 pushups the first minute and then just suddenly died and had to do them in sets of five after that. I quit looking at my timer at around 2:30. The situps were hard because of the pushups? I didn't know what the hell was going on. The pullups took less than an minute and I ran the run on a treadmill at incline in 18 minutes. I could have run a tad faster but I knew I had already blew a really good time so my motivation was in the toilet.

Hope to see i a time from you,
Well, I'm going to build up to the full routine over the next week or two. I have been on travel for the past two weeks, eating crap food, getting no sleep, and all the airline travel left me with a cold. So, I want to recover from all this while I am training for the "challenge".

Hey, im new to the forum, saw your challenge and thought i'd give it a shot, failed to get the 25 min, got it in 26:18, althought i did it after my back and abs work out... so next time hopefully pull it up by a few min, got 60 straight push ups then did sets of 10, same with the situps, chins were bad cause i'd already done weighted ones earlier ... got all that done in about 8 min, it was the run that killed me, still feeling it now, im gonna be scewed tomorrow

o and im 18, weigh... 60 kg, ermm..... 132 pounds? thx for the challenge, it was killer

That SUCKED.

21:03 (age 41, weight 165 lbs, height 5ft 7in)

Situps killed me. 20 years ago, I did endless high-rep foot-locked situps every day; thousand per week. Now I never do them; instead I do low-rep leg-lifts, etc. Actually, I don't work my abs very much. And it shows. After 50 I had to do sets of 10 and rest. Everything else went smoothly, although it took me 15:30 to run the 2 miles at 1% incline. My heart rate sat at a steady 160 for 2 miles, which must be roughly my lactate threshold. Assuming this was 90% of my MHR, it pegs my MHR at 178, which almost exactly the population average (MHR=205.8-0.685*age ; remember, MHR is genetic and does not increase or decrease with training). My functional MHR seems to be about 170 (I don't ever see it go over 170 in training), which is about 96% MHR according to this reasoning. My RHR is about 55.

Question for Standard:

Can you get people to post their age as well? Doing this at 50, for example, is a whole lot different than doing it at 20!

Also, why is there no essay portion of the test ?

I agree that it's alot different for someone 50 to do this than 20 but i would rather not make too many seperations, wiith this being an MMA site i think weight is a good guage so that a WW can compare with other WW's and a HW can compare with HW's to see where they stand. I'm pretty sure your the only guy who completed the comp north of 40 so you can take credit in beating alot of active teenagers and twenty somethings

No essay portion to this test, i knew u guyz con't reed

haha, esdoornblad, u killed my time and I'm only 18 o well, I've just started trying to do conditioning training, i was pretty happy with my time to be honest, this challenge almost killed me by the end. My HSC is about to start, so I'm not about to go and almost kill myself again for a few weeks, I'll give it another go, without doing a workout before hand next time, hopefully pull it up by a few min

If you take out the pull ups this is nothing special. In the service we did this all the time. Except like I said, no pull ups. And 1.5 mile run. You can come up with something better than this...
