Yeah I agree...did a much tamer version today; still sore from the push-ups so instead did some dips till it felt like work, crunches and wide-pronated-grip pullups (4 x 5reps) and jogged the 2mi. route...

...gonna save the Challenge for just once a week, Muay Thai/cardio 3x a week, and "Challenge" goals 2x a week...

...I'm glad I stumbled upon this stickied thread...having a tangible goal rather than just "getting better cardio" makes it much easier to motivate and get my shit together...gee thanx guys

Well, until I took this challenge, I hadn't run over 1 mile in in about 2 months and I did the heaviest pull ups of my life on Wednesday.

Final Time: 20:42 (My goal was 18:00)

I know I could have done better, but I have done very little endurance training lately, except for my "patented" morning GPP, my job, and my actual martial arts classes. Back in Feb. the run would have taken me only a little over 10 minutes. I bet if I trained and tried this again in about a month I'd hit my goal easily...or I can just go back to lifting heavy and sprinting all the time...

Ya it does, ya lazy bastard. (j/k)

Speaking of excuses, I don't have any for not doing this, and after doing decent on the burpee thing I should man up on this. I haven't run FOREVER, and this will be a good reminder on why I should.

Yeah, I did good on the burpee challenge too, and this is a different animal entirely. Burpee challenge=Higher instensity, less duration=good for me. Conditioning challenge? Not so much.

It's also tough cause I hate running...before I got my dog, I hadn't run since they made me run in high school...so 12 years without running, and then all of a sudden hey! Let's try to do a 6 minute mile!

You hate running? Weird...lol

I actually do enjoy sprints, but distance running...what kind of head case actually enjoys that?

Standard, I noticed that you made a mistake and put my spot at the bottom instead of the top. I know it was an honest mistake so I'll let it slide this time, just don't let it happen again. I'll be coming for this thing at the end of my next program in about 120 days or so.
