complexes/ weight

recently started using sprints and the barbell routine showed by randy couture (spelling),

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...=randy+couture

ive been able to improve quite a bit in a short time,

but my question to anyone thats done this routine is how much weight do you use in regard to your own body weight?

I weigh 145-150 and use a 5 and a 2.5 on each side when I do it. I wouldn't be able to do more than one set with 25's on. How much do you weigh?

I average around 80lbs @185 bw. Weight isn't very important when doing complexes, after all you're working endurance not strength. A better indicator is number of reps/sets and speed.

I weigh 200 and use a 10 and a 5 on each side and do three or four sets. sometimes I use no additional weight and do eight sets or 25s on each side and do two sets maybe three depending on how I feel that day.

I can do more weight if I cut the sets down (obviously). I never fight 5 rds. So i only do 3 sets w/ 15 on each side.

You can make anything up, do them with a barbell, DBs, sandbag. There's also one called "bears" where you takle a barbell, do a clean, front squat, OHP, then a back squat, then repeat until you puke/miscarry/die.

Not really a complex, but I found this interesting, and you might like it also. It's called the Litvinov workout. What is it? I'm glad you asked.
3 Circuits with no rest in between.
Perform any "big" lift and then drop the bar (gently) and run.
A big lift is any of these:
Cleans
Clean & Press
Clean & Jerk
Deadlift
Front Squat
Overhead Squat
Snatch

Run 200-400 m as fast as you can.
