combat conditioning
I just ordered Furey's book like 2 weeks or so ago, damnit, that shit is tearing me apart! I've done bodyweight exercises before, but this is a whole different thing. I've read Never Gymless aswell and loved it, but this is crazy. IMO that neck bridge thing is awesome, my neck feels unbelievably strong after these first 2 weeks. Hope this doesn't sound like an infomercial lol. Just wanted to share my experience with this stuff... from now on this is all Im using. Anyone else just do this stuff?

*cough cough* Well...this is awkward...
Kidding aside, I say no to Furey, and to dogmatic training in general. Which is why I love Ross. He doesn't claim to have all the answers. He just shares what he knows and walks the walk.

Sucks that you paid so much money for something that bad.
Seriously, you can get better stuff from multiple authors for a lot less

I've found the paper contained in the books makes for really bad toilet paper.

Boys, take it easy on him, he didn't know any better. Let's not gang up on the threadstarter here.
Sean, the general opinion of Furey and his material is that it's nothing but overhyped/overpriced gimmicks. We've all been there though, you're not the first person to fall for gimmicks. What's important is that you make the best of whatever it is you got and learn from it.

Honestly, this is borderline blasphemy against Ross Enamait. There's a reason he's a St. Wilhelm's saint and Fatt Murey isn't.
I honestly don't see how dive bomber pushups, bodyweight squats on your toes, and neck bridges are "superior" to a complete program in any way, shape or form. The only reasoning I can see as to why you've made perceptible progress is that you are putting more intensity into your workouts than previously.

That was your second mistake.

Everyone should get to make a few mistakes before they learn the wisdom of these training forums.
Remember when I asked about the Prefect Pushups device?

Heh. Everytime I see that in the back page ads of "Ultimate Grappling" I laugh a little.
