I can only give my own exp. but I quite enjoy running when it's cold. Granted I'm from Houston and it probably wont get colder then 25-30 but the park next to my house looks beatiful on a cold night.......just dress up warm I guess, wear layers.

It's too cold in Minnesota to run in the cold. With the wind chill it's about -10 or more. I tried to do some sprinting last week and almost died. I seriously almost died.

If its a slight cold you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If your really feeling sick don't push yourself that just makes a bad thing worse.

Odds are your lungs burn after running cause your breathing in alot of air via your mouth because your nose is clogged. The air doesn't warm up in your body as much and you feel it in your lungs. I used to get that alot when i did sports outside in the fall and winter.

Running in the cold kicks ass!

It's cold. I ALMOST did sprints today. I probably would have died.
Decided to try the 100 burpee challenge. I would rather have died out in the cold.

If your lungs can take the cold air, go for it. If not, there are a ton of other indoor cardio/conditioning workouts that will also yield great results.

Yeah, get some good blended fibers from running store or camping store and layer. I found a think layer of wool socks over my running socks helps the toes. Thin gloves that are warm and a beanie. I enjoy running in the cold although haven't lived in snow in few years. But if the wind is too much fuck it, not worth it. Cold is one thing, wind chill is another bitch.

-10 or more? Visit the prairies, that's shorts weather for us. We still run in minus 30 degree weather. Ya pansy.
