Climbing exercise
I saw a video recently, where they had a big board on the wall at a gym, with a whole load of holes evenly spread all over the board. Then you take two 'sticks' and climb up and down, every time taking one pin out and moving it up.
now i was trying to find some info about it on google, but i have no idea what it is called.
anyone know the name of it, or where i can get info on it??
thanks
sean

I think it would be plenty easy to make one honestly. The shipping would suck, just make it.

in addition to what the previous posters said, which pretty much covered all your questions, i will point out that they make them do this on TUF when they first try out for the coaches and there is usually only one guy who cant do it and i laugh (even though i could never do it)

you can make a rock climbing wall. it is sorta expensive, but more interesting.

that website tells you how to do it (scroll down to the bottom) and is the cheapest place for holds. you can re-arrange them and everything, and climb up just with your hands which would be similar to a pegboard. i made mine for about 200.

get a training board..
I go about 15 times a year...from spring to fall...
and the best way to learn is to buy a training board...then go out with a club or a guide and do some easy top rope climbs.

training boards are great even if you don't climb...
they add variables to the pullups, isometric hold, and grip training..
