caught a cold before a fight

so that s my problem,i m going to national amateur championship this weekend and i caught a cold.lets say i get better soon how will it affect my cardio?maybe some tips what to do?

You should be taking it easy by now training wise


I'd say rest up, eat a lot of complex carbs and dose yourself up on vitamin c and try and flush it out

I get colds like a madman, and I have no idea why. I just pile on the vitamin C and drink tons of water and I usually get over it quick. But man, right before a fight... that's tough.

Ian is right also, I'd rest up. You don't want to get any sicker than you already are.

Rest up and drink plenty of fluids.

When I am feeling run down or get sick I take these: Garlic cloves (Garlic is one of the few foods with both anti viral and anti bacterial properties), Vitamin C, Cod Liver Oil, Zinc, vitamin B6, and I also make up a stew with fresh Garlic, Ginger, and Parsley with mixed vegetables and Liver.

And go over your game mentally and try to prepare for the competition that way.

go buy some Zicam from walmart or somewhere. It claims to acctualy reduce the duration of a cold, its a nasal gel/spray. I dont know about any scientific studies to back it but from personal experience when i use it my colds do seem to be shorter and less severe. Its worth a shot. There are a few different types of Zicam, be cure to get the one that acctualy says on the box that it reduces the duration of the cold. Good luck man.
