Cardio at night?

I've just changed up my workout routine (mostly because of my schedule) so that my cardio is at night a couple of hours before I hit the sack. Is there any down side to this physiologically or otherwise?

People often complain about not being able to sleep for a few hours after but I have never had a problem (I do BJJ till about 9 then go to sleep by 11).

How late at night are you training? You might have some trouble getting to sleep if you train at 10pm and then go to bed at 10:30 or 11:00.

I find I need about 2-3 hours after training to be able to sleep... otherwise I'm just too wired.

I'm done by 10 usually and so far it's been a little tougher to sleep but not too bad yet. So is that the only possible negative???

Pretty much the same for me too but I find that the warm shower I take afterwards helps a bit.

I never had any problems, well I should say no new problems. Always been a bad sleeper. I sometimes got finished a workout between 11 and midnight. I never had any more or less problems sleeping as opposed to working out in the mornings or afternoons.

Same as the other Sherdoggers here, I don't have any problem sleeping. Actually for me I sleep better, get home around 9:30 from Muay Thai and 8ish from Jiu Jitsu, when I hit the bed, those workout drain me, I sleep like a brick. But when it comes to days I don't do cardio at night, I tend to toss and turn alot. Try it out and see for yourself, you might be surprised.
