Cardio equipment

What do you think is the best Cardio equipment ….Treadmill, air dyne (the bike with a fan),Stair climber ,ect…..I do sprints in the summer and run stairs…..But with winter getting close I need something indoors the High School track I do my sprints at and run stairs at does not leave there lights on….And I get done work sometimes at 7:00pm when its dark…….I know I can run on the street but (LSD Training) does not help with my grappling and MMA cardio I need something for indoors what do you guys think?

Jump rope + burpees + tabata protocols with almost any compound movment or complex = the only equipment you need.

seriously, don't waste your money if your only reason is indoor cardio. If you have a knee problem or something, ok, an elliptical machine or bike might be nice. Otherwise you can get better cardio IMO by jumping rope and doing shit like bears, burpees, etc.

A heavy bag and Bas Rutten's workouts. Never mind being essential cardio equipment, they're the most important things in life.

Can you go earlier in the morning? Is there a pool nearby? With your limited options I would go with burpees and skipping rope for long ass periods of time. The machines just don't cut it sometimes. I hate treadmills but they are the best of what's out there. You cannot beat running.

Specificity plays a pretty important role when it comes to cardio. I know guys who have great cardio in the swimming pool but gas out after two laps running around the track. Same with myself, I have great bike cardio but my running cardio is pretty weak.

For MMA, grappling cardio though I like Urban's suggestions. Burpees, sprawls jumping rope carry over well.
