MT gets you more cut in my opinion. I have trained each at one point (well, more kickboxing that MT) and dedicated kickboxing of any kind just trims the fat right off of you and should get you more cut. Still, your body type is going to determine just how cut you can get...soundsl ike your is one that doesn't get cut that easily, unfortunatley for you. BJJ has never, ever left my muscles feeling sore like kickboxing, and it hasn't made me sweat half as much as a solid kickboxing session.
Oh, also: to get cut you should be supplementing your sessions with some exercises. I got cut as hell working with my old kickboxing trainer and we did this at the end of every session (about 1.5 hrs after doing bag, pad, ring work, etc):
30 jumping jacks
30 crunches
30 pushups
30 jackknives
30 burpees
When you're done, do another set and when you're tired, take a knee until you can keep going and...keep going. If it's too much at first, start out at a lower number of reps. As you progress, add 5 reps to each exercise. Skipping is a good cool down from this too. The exercises are tough, but if you stick with them, they'll help you get cut.
