Does sweating indicate anything?

I was wondering if when my body reaches a point where it needs to start sweating, does that also indicate... something? For example if you become better will the time it takes you to start sweating increase?

the faster you sweat the more efficient your body is at cooling itself down.

Sweating has no factor on health....

Fat people tend to sweat more because their bodies become warmer faster then skinny people.

I sweat like a pig when I workout yet I am in excellent shape.

I sweat after like 3 minutes shadow boxing, after 3 rounds it looks like someone has thrown a bucket of water over me.

Annoyingly I sweat from the base of my feet, which makes training on wood floors...hazardous when kicking

I had been wondering about this myself for a while, I guessed that when my conditioning was starting to improve, I would sweat less... Turns out, it's the other way around; like Justice said, the faster you sweat, the more efficient ur body is doing it's job... My endurance levels have gone through the roof the last six months, from totally crap to being able to do half an hour of alternating 3 minutes heavy bag, 3 minutes floor bag, 3 minutes jump rope... And after an hour and a half of working out, my towel is completely soaked... And I mean SOAKED...

It’s a good indication that you’re properly hydrated. Not sweating is typically a bad thing; although, there are some people who just don’t sweat.

I didn't actually start to sweat a lot from physical extertion until I was in my late 20's. While I'm now probably in better shape than I have been my whole life, I have been practicing martial arts since my early teens, and played box lacrosse all through high school.

So, go figure. I now get a good bead-on with a couple of minutes of shadowboxing or skipping, and by the end of a workout I'm surfing my very own tsunami.
