Can running in fog or cold be bad for your lungs?

I was just curious if it may be bad to run/jog when it is really foggy or cold outside.

It seems like breathing heavy while running in fog would possibly put moisture in your lungs?

When its cold out and there is a lot of moisture in the air it also seems like you may be breathing in water. Is this true at all?

If that were true, you wouldn't want to run in high humidity, either.

well are there ANY risk at all to it? think of how hard you are breathing in, and how deeply.

Cold can be bad, either way breath through your nose and it will minimize any problems with inhaling things you don't want like dust or cold air. I wouldn't worry about much water vapour as your body naturally expels it when you exhale normally

I'm not positive but i think that the fluid from pneumonia is secreted from your body due to bacteria and not inhaled from the environment

there is already moisture when you breathe in regardless of it being hot or cold. you get pneumonia by letting a cold get worse or by a virus.
