Can my conditioning get a little better in 5 days?

I may have a fight, taken on short notice if I do, on sunday. My conditioning is alright, one of my good points, but it would be alot more reassuring if I knew I could just get a litttle boost in my conditioning in 5 days if I trained hard. Doing 3-4 miles every day and sprints, would I be able to reap any rewards from it by sunday?

No you would wear yourself down and not be able to recover in time for the competition and actually perform under your own level.

And you wont really be able to introduce any new skills this close to the competition that you actually will use in the fight, instead focus on sharpening up the skills you already got so you confidence in them, preferably in pretty ligth sessions...

Haha, fuck man. That's what I was thinking. Alright, looks like I'll just do a few miles running till thursday or so and then take it off.

I just started running long distances. I jog 3 miles every other day timed, and have seen my time go from 38min to 34min in a span of 6 days. I believe part of it is taking creatine, which is a great suppliment, but I believe you can increase your conditioning at least a little bit in a 5 day span.

Best of luck to ya!

I'd probably do sprints and maybe two miles. You'll end up getting an injury if you push too hard. Run a mile to warm up...then throw a few sprints in there for the last mile. It's not alot to wear you down, but I do think it will give you a bit of improvement.

Good luck
