Can I make 265 without losing power?

I think I have a body type that just makes me huge. I gain both muscle and fat easily. I was up to about 335lbs 6 months ago because I did not do cardio. I increased my reps a little in lifting and am running 5 miles a day. I am down to about 310 to 300 now depending on time of day. I don't really don't know my body fat % now. The scale at my gym says 12% and caplier calculations say 15%. I think I am much more because I can feel some hanging fat. I wan't to know if I could make 265 without losing much muscle. Based on my pic how much bf % do you think I am? Could I make heavyweight? I am 6'2 and 3/4" tall.

you look closer to 15%, maybe more. go with the caliper calculations. i dont know much about weight cutting, but my guess is it would be very hard to make 265.

Without losing power or without losing muscle? The title says one and the post says another. Muscle mass and power are not the same, obviously, and I have not doubt that you could gain power and lose mass.

I completely disagree with that statement. You may increase speed and therefore be more efficient and explosive, but if you lose a significant amount of mass like 50-60 lbs (like he is talking about) you will lose strength.

I used to be 265lbs and fight at roughly 220lbs now. I lost quite a bit of weight lifting strength, but the speed, agility and explosiveness have more than made up for the strength loss(at least in the ring). Losing the weight was the best choice I ever made fighting wise.

So I am guessing that you shit on threads just because you can't gain enough lean mass to make 155.

I bench max raw at 545lbs. now so if I had a 3 ply bra I bet I could do 600lbs.
