Calf tightness? Relief?

Well, there's always something up with my calves. Damn them to hell. Anyways, my calves always seem to be fatigued, and it looks like it could use a VERY VERY VERY long massage. If I were to squeeze it, I'd feel discomfort (like the sensation of a massage to a really tense area.) Im wondering, is this normal? Probably not, but how could I relieve the tension, and I lack someone who's willing to massage it for 0239023923 minutes.

Thanks all.

Well, do you sprint up staircases every day or something that is making them fatigued?

Maybe take a short break from whatever it is that is fatiguing your calves so much. Once they recover, start at a slightly lower intensity, and work your way back to where you were, making sure to get a thorough warmup pre-exercise and do some light stretching post-exercise.

I had the same problem awhile back. I found a good warm-up and stretch before during and after will help tremendously.

Give that a shot if stretching doesn't do the trick.

are you just starting hard training? it should go away after a bit. just keep trying to stretch as your warm up. jump rope for a minute, stretch the calves. jump rope again, stretch, etc

any time you get a free second, stretch the calves. also after you are done, strech them really well. elevate them and ice them if you can for a bit while you relax. they wlll get stronger after awhile and everything will be cool
