burpee frequency question

I'm really out of shape right now, and I'm mostly trying to get my strength up, but I also want to get my anaerobic endurance up a bit.

My idea for this is to do 2 sets of burpees with 30 seconds rest in between, then wait 30 minutes and do it again two days a week. I don't want to do it anymore because I don't want it interfering with my other stuff, but is that enough to progress?

How many reps per set? What is you "other stuff"? What's your weight?

I find I can do burpees by the hundreds everyday. The fatigue is generalised throughout the body so there's no serious DOMS to worry about, certainly if you do little aerobic work before and after. I'd suggest doing them all in one session and scrap the half hour break if you want to minimise risk of injury, prevent disruption and maximise anaerobic results.

what i do is before every work out. i will include 10-15 burpees in my warm up just too get the blood flowing. i find that when i do my 100 and 200 burpee challenges my times are coming down, i am sure this is due to the fact that i do them everyday .

About 20 reps right now. I'm in horrible shape, I can barely run a mile.

Other stuff is mostly pistols and pullups and bodyweight type stuff... and starting next week kickboxing and jiu jitsu training.

But if it won't hinder any of that to do them every day, then I will.

Thanks ^^

edit: Oh and I'm about 5'7 180lbs.

What Revok failed to mention is that his level of fitness also includes pulling stumps out of the ground and tossing weight around equivalent to 4 or 5 men.

With that said keep it up and you will get in better and better shape and don't get discouraged.
