broken leg bone - training advice

I have just been able to start training for this great God-given experience we call mixed martial arts. It has been something that I have loved for many years, but I have had to move a lot in the last 4 years because of my job as a youth pastor. Anyway, to make a long stroy short. I broke my fibula clean through and now I can't do jack-squat. I kind of have to be careful because even though it was a clean brake, if it gets jarred it will move out of place and then I will have to have surgery. My question is Is there anything that I can do while I only have one good leg? Next to God Almighty I love this more than anything else in this world. Any advice about any aspect? can I lift, hit the bag, anything or should I just wait? Thanks alot guys. this may be a stupid question, it is just that I have finally got in a position to where I can start doing what I love to do so much and don't won't to have to wait again.

i'm not a doctor, only a paramedic but take my advice.....let it heal. MMA ain't going nowhere.......train your arms and stuff like that.chest, shoulders....if you don't let it heal now you will only have problems with it later..........

I was about to lay into you for posting such a foolish question, but I remember when I first started training so I understand how you feel.

But suggestion would be...................LET IT HEAL.
Don't fuck with lower back and legs.

Read up, watch fights etc to keep the mind active, but don't mess with that leg. I wouldn't really risk bloody cycling if jarring it could mean surgery.

Maybe try if you have access to a gym which has one, one of those upperbody cycling things that works the arms. Apparently they're pretty good for aerobic capacity.
You can't even kick with one leg, there has to be something to support it........
By all means work your upper body to stay active, but again I say don't mess with that leg.
