Book to Improve my Strength and Conditioning?

I'm a competative martial artist primarly bjj, I heard a lot of great things about Ross Enamait's books. He currently has three books out Full Throttle Conditioning ,Never Gymless, Infinite Intensity. I'm active duty military, I work a lot, married with baby, and I do BJJ, so my time to do any kind of conditioning routine is limited, which book would be best for me, and if there recommendations, even on any other reading material please enlighten me.

Thank You Fine People of Sherdog.

hey man,
I havnt read any of ross's books but Ive read most of his online stuff and it seems good. his books will probably benefit you.
If time is an issue for you then Id recommend "The new High Intensity Training" by Ellington Darden. The whole concept of training that the book will teach you about will be hard to believe and follow at first but I'm sure that if you follow it you will get good results. If you have any questions about it PM me.

also Training for Warriors is a good book.

At the end of the day as long as you eat right and train hard and frequently then your strength and conditioning will improve.

If you can't make it to the gym 'Never Gymless' is the way to go. If you have access to weights go with 'Infinite Intensity.'

I'd get all 3 of them in the packgage if you can afford it. If you want something for when you're away, get never gymless and purchase a jungle gym from lifeline USA.

Package deal if you can afford it, and Infinite Intesity if you can't. I think II gives a better understanding of programming than NG, although both do great. Also, as II includes both weights as well as bodyweight exercises, it gives you more options.
Ross is also a proponent of low-cost fitness, so you'll get plenty of affordable ideas on how to torture yourself.
As far as time, the conditioning routines rarely take more than 20min, and the strenght routines can be done in under an hour.

I'd get Ross's books for Conditioning purposes. I'd purchase Starting Strength for Strength purposes. A lot of good info can be found online as well, so don't worry if you only have money for one. Whichever is more important to you, pick.

I think I am going to check out never gymless, just for the fact that when I am at the gym I like to train standup, wrestling, bjj, ect. I like to save the cardio training for when I am at home or by myself for obvious reasons of you dont need the mats or all the equipment to do so. I will defintely check this book out thanks

My suggestion: "Superfit: Royce Gracie's Ultimate Martial Arts Fitness and Nutrition Guide" by Royce Gracie and James Strom This is a great book that has helped me with my strength, conditioning and flexibility. There are excellent exercises in here that are all focused around combat sports. The book is broken down by Warm-up and stretching, Abdominals, Cardiovascular conditioning, free weights (dumbells, barbells, medicine ball exercises, etc...), Isolaterals, Plyometrics...
James Strom was a strength coach at the University of Southern California, and Royce Gracie needs no introduction. Check it out.
