Bikram Yoga

Just curious if anyone else here does Bikram Yoga?

That's the deep posture yoga in a 110 degree room/sauna.

I do it 1-2 a month in combo with my other martial arts training and man does it make a difference
in most every catagory of fitness. I'm more flexible after, muscles get oxygenated, body gets detoxified. Mentally its also a great experience to go through.

An added bonus: Hot sweaty yoga chicks barely dressed

Just curious what anyone else's experience is with it and how has made a difference for you?

I'd try it just for that. Actually, it's not offered anywhere in my city. I've looked

I used to do Bikram 3-4 times a week when I lived near one of the studios. It was tough but I always felt really good afterwards. After about 1 month I was able to touch my toes for the first time so I'm a believer. Unfortunately there isn't one around me anymore.
You are lucky you got to see all the hot yoga chicks. I used to go to a 5:30am class and all the ladies were over 50. At least the teacher was hot though.

Bumpity bump.

Just did my 2nd day of Bikram Yoga as a supplement to my MT training and I have to say that its not easy. My goal for taking Bikram Yoga was to increase my flexibility and improve my breathing. I want to have some wicked head kicks so hopefully this will help. The only problem is that we don't do any "split" type stretches that would allow me to reach for the head when I kick. But so far I like it and I plan on doing it once a week. Shit is expensive as fuck though.

Yoga can be great exercise, but it varies a lot from one stuido to another.

Not only the greater flexibility and breathing habits that you noted, but some killer isometrics!

Are you saying that it varies from the different styles of yoga? I wonder if ALL Bikram Yoga studios across the country all do the same postures or if they differ like you said.
