I'll try to describe the two main ones I know.

Put your left foot on the floor then your right knee back on the floor a natural distance apart about shoulder width place your right hand on the floor to right side of your foot to balance. Grab your right foot with your left hand and lean forward. Repeat on opposite leg.

The other one is much more simple just stand in fighting stance kick your back leg straight forward and up without bending your leg repeat on other leg.

If I didn't explain very well just ask what you don't understand.

Dynamic stretching

For high kicks you should try more of dynamic stretching, moving your leg through the range of motion which you will have while kicking.
1) hand out in front - try swingin your leg to touch the hand
2) leg lifts to the side - hand to side and try touching it
3) backward leg lifts

It's pretty hard to explain these well. Like spartan said a search will do you more good.
