Best piece of cardio equipment?

Im looking to buy one piece of cardio equipment to keep in my apartment. What would be my best bet? My goal right know is to loose weight and go back to 170. im 230 right know.

the best piece of equipment is yourself and your mind to work hard. i mean you dont need any equipment for cardio, just a strong mindset to do what you want to do. go running and do burpees. its free.

You posted this thread in the strength forum too,but the answers stay the same,running shoes.The sandbag is a good idea too if you want to do some strength and conditionning work.Google "ross enamait"for ideas.

A jump rope would be the best if you cannot go outside and run for any reason. If you can run, do not spend like 2 grand on a tredmill, just go outside.

I have a lifefitness x9i eliptical. If you can spend $4000 I reccommend it. I haven't found anyother machines where I can burn 1000 cal an hour.

The cheap elipticals just don't feel the same.
