best cardio exercises around

sorry if ya'll already have a thread on this, but I was just wondering what some of the best exercises for cardio were? The ones that burn the most calories and things of that nature.

If you're talking pure cardio I'll go with running. If you mean anaerobic stuff then I'd go with burpees, sprints and just being in the ring/mat.

sprawls / burpees

HIIT running / biking

rowing is good for longer med intensity as its full body and causes you to crunch up and explode out (a skill needed for the ground game)

Start in standing position, drop hands to floor, kick legs back, do a pushup, suck legs back up and standup a better man. Repeat until you forget your name.

I'd say burpees (full push-up and tuck jump), punch-out drills and sandbag conditioning of any kind (especially the sandbag clean and press once you start dabbling with higher reps or putting it in a circuit)

gotta day im a little more fond of sprawls then i am burpees as it also helps you sprawl better (obviously)....

a good one is put a kicking pad down, or somthing of that size, and jump over, do a sprawl, jump back over, do a sprawl, etc etc for a 1min round, then a 2 min round, (at this point you being new will probly gas out, but thats ok, its very hard even for people in shape). The just keep adding more rounds as you get better / more wind

Cool idea. I think I've seen a training video of Crocop doing a similar exercise. I might give it a shot next time.

This is the basic form of a Burpee but you can do variations of it to increase how hard it could be (using weights, doing pushups, etc.).
