being skinny and doing cardio...

What's a good way aside from running to build up my stamina? I understand that too much cardio will result is some muscle loss, which I do not want since I'm already 136lbs and 5'5.

Is running 3 times a week, enough, or can I afford to do more?

You can do the cardio, but you have eat, eat, eat. Replace all the calories you burn. What do you need the stamina for? MMA?

MMA, but it's mostly for submission grappling.

Using bodyweight exercises I found I achieve muscle mass, and conditioning. Now I am not saying stop running, or any kind of cardio, but I would increase simple things like the following: pushups (Hindu, Handstand, Elevated, using Power Rings, etc..), pullups (hands facing forward or/and back, and frenchies), Hindu Squats or/and Pistols, and much more.

Rounds on a heavy bag or Thai pads. Nothing like several 3-minute rounds of full Thai to get yer stamina going.

Look into high intensity interval training and Tabata protocols.

Do a search in Conditioning and Strength & Power forums for more information.
