routine

hey thanks for the reply. i have tried cardio before i lift but it has a bad effect on me. i need bulk energy for my weights to get maximum gains. when i tried cardio before i didnt have enough energy to finish my workout.

the cardio after weights is usualy running or some low intensity elyptical machine.

ill start doing more intensive cardio as i get more fit.

Your routine is too agressive in my opinion, try moving Sun. routine to Sat., and Sat routine to Tue and take Sun. off to recover. Tue. shouldn't have weights and cardio, it should be weights or cardio not both.

You should read the FAQ in the S&P forum and get a lifting program that doesn't focus on body parts but rather movements, e.g. a pull/press/squat routine.

If you are looking to "tone up" you need to get your diet dialed in so check out the FAQ in the D&S forum.

Finally, you should have at least one day in the week where you don't train otherwise you will eventually burn out, especially if you just got into MT/BJJ. I assume you are getting lots of cardio in your MT/BJJ classes so you could drop the cardio day. Another option is to do a 2 day split for weights and take either Sat or Sun off.

Go to S&P and re evaluate your lifting program. It's shitty

Unless you are a student and get to sleep 8-10 hours everyday you will burn out within 2 weeks of that volume without an appropriate build up (I'm talking like 6-9 months).

Also, go thai boxing. Kickboxing, god lord no.

edit- I would also suggest dropping one lifting day and substitute it will hill sprints. For example, if you squat on the sunday, hill sprint on the tuesday and have the wednesday as a day off.

hmmmm youre body will tell you when youve had to much, so you'll need be able to ajust yer workout acordingly. the rest of the posters are giving you what I would call good advice and make shure yer diet is very clean, this should help you increse the volume of yer workouts. and even if you was a pro fighter you would still need a rest day. If yer just geting started I have a feeling you are gona end up taking at least 2 a week with a heavy load like this one. i like to take Sat. or sunday as a planned rest day and then every other week or more I throw a rest day where I feel its needed. But thats just what has worked for me.
