Just turned 25, and I am getting back to lifting (after a 3 year hiatus), and am going to start a 5x5 program, in addition to coaching wrestling, and this weekend I am joining a BJJ gym, so if its weight thats causing the problem, it will come off.
i use to be 5'10" 250. i had the same problems. i just gutted it out for the first month. when the weight started coming off, the pain went away. concentrate on keeping good form. that helps a bit too.
Its your gut acting as a pendulum and pulling your spine out of alignment with every stride. Lose more weight before you do distance running; swimming, rowing, cycling... pretty much anything is better than running when your overweight.
