asthma is different from jiu jitsu because it uses wind chokes.

It's gonna affect you in any activity involving your cardiovascular system. So yea. I had that stuff when I was younger, once I started surfing year round at like age 16 it magically went away. So if you get in better shape its not bas bad I'm guessing.

I had asthma from 3 to probably 15. I nearly died because of that shit a few times. However, after a few years of a shitload of medicamentation the doctors gave me a really good one (cant remember the name unfortunately) and I started with sports (after a few years of doing nothing) and it went away.

Nowadays I hate myself because I started too late.

I had real bad asthma too. I took a singulair pill every day and that helped dramatically. I started swimming a lot and that helped make my lungs strong.

Go and do your activities but just be cautious of your condition. Keep an Inhaler near by and just keep working hard and it will improve. I would suggest making an appointment with a Doctor just to be sure.

I used to take an inhaler preventatively prior to grappling/training. Asthma used to be really bad when I was growing up, but it's gone away over the years (I'm 21 now). Went through basic training with no problem.
