April Challenge - TUF Treadmill Test

TUF 1 Treadmill Test

What to do:

Run for as long as possible at increasing speeds

Rules:
  • Start the treadmill at 6 mph with a 1% grade.
  • Every five minutes, increase the speed 1 mph.
  • After you finish with 10 mph (after 25 minutes) increase the grade 1% and every five minutes increase by another 1%.
  • If you either jump off the treadmill or hit the stop button, you are done. No resting.
  • If you eat it in spectacular fashion, you are still done. However, if you video tape it and you fall as bad as the guy in the GIFs below with your shoes falling off, etc., you get a minute added to your time!
  • You cannot touch the rails. If you need water, have fun trying to get it when your heart rate is already maxed. At this high of intensity, your body will not be able to absorb it very well anyway.
  • Whoever runs the longest wins!

I'm assuming this also includes falling off...

I suppose I'll take a stab at it this weekend

Just curious, what are the rules on touching the guide bars? Like...holding with one hand while taking a drink is okay, but no coasting on them?

I'm assuming that's what it is, just figured that should be clarified as some people seem to think that holding themselves up with their hands and prancing along counts as running.

Anyway...I may take a stab at this, although I think I'm picking the wrong time to try a progressive running challenge.
