yeah..I think the rule of thumb is you can usually go twice as far as you train. Make sure you have enough fuel in your body for the entire run. You might want to do a trial run with your food the weekend before or something so you have time to adjust. On race days I woudl get up around 3 am and eat...then up before the race and eat again.

As you get closer don't really add any new foods...you want to make sure you know how your body will react to the food you put in it....so right before the race isn't the time to experiment.

I woudl probably start tapering next week......if I was worried about setting a personal best. If not...just keep training...and make sure you get your rest days in. Sounds like you are ready to have a good time...good luck

If you felt good, then just keep up the training. That's the ultimate answer to your question. Yea, I think you're ready.

See if you can't carry some gels with you to keep your glucose up towards the end. You should be o.k. to do the half.

i'm a marathon runner. looks like you're ready but this coming sunday should be your last long distance training. hit 10 miles.

taper next week. then just go easy (3x/1 mi) on race week. remember to carbo-load on thursday-saturday.

best wishes!

try them on a trial run FIRST... you do NOT want to introduce anything new on race day. Chances are you'll be fine, but...you never know how those things are going to react with your digestive system. Whatever you take to snack on...nuts...granola...try it out first. It woudl be a shame to get to twelve miles and then have to take a shit.
