alternative options to running
My cardio routine is very simple, I do 6 rounds of hitting the bag(kicks, elbows, knees, and hands.) I want to start running, but i cannot stand it, i go outside start to run, I get about 2 blocks, and get bored out of my mind,so i just go back home. What else could I do in the morning in replace of running

ok, seriously? any fighter will tell you roadwork is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. They ALL pretty much agree that there is NO viable substitute for running. and if you don't have the mental toughness to get through a simple run, what fucking place do you have in a ring? long story short, shadup and run your intervals.

Would stationary bike replace running? If so, what speed?
I have a mag resistance bike I've been using to get back in shape. I'm up to 25.6 miles in 1hr40min, 1200 cal burned according to the little computer. Avg 16-17 mph, sometimes burst to 22-26 mph for a few min, then back to 16-17, etc. Is there some way to compare this to running?
The main thing that keeps me from running is plantar fascitis, healed but susceptible to re-injury-

I do a lot of biking but nothing over 22 miles. Usually 21-22 mph and I may kick it up to 25 mph for a couple minutes here and there.

Running really is awesome, cause whenever I get bored or get tired I just push myself more. Just like in a fight, would you honestly lose interest and just give up and go home. Fuck I wouldn't, I came here to kick your ass, even if I can't I will try my best. If you can't even run for 2 blocks without losing interest, fighting 3 or 5, 5 minute rounds is out of the question.

'nuff said.
