9 Pounds For NAGA
Howdy y'all. I am competing in NAGA on March 11th and I just found out my scale was off and I am 9 pounds over what I am competing at. How can I drop the weight? I do not have access to a sauna and I get shin splints and am flat-footed. Any advice would help, thanks for your time.

TONS of hot clothing...and an exercise cycle...that is, if you're cutting weight, and im not saying to work out that way, that's just what i do instead of a sauna...9 pounds is a bit much though, you have plenty of time to lose an ok amount from just cardio and a healthy diet

dude, unless you're competing in the advanced division, don't cut that weight...
9 lbs is an entire weight class...

ya that's what im thinkin, don't you think he can get down there enough just from healthy diet and cardio? it is almost 3 weeks, and then he would only have to cut like (if he cut, which i already suggested against in my first post) 3 pounds or something, which you can lose on a hot day, or one training session, 3 pounds is barely even a cut

The 9 pounds means either fighting at 190-200 division or at the 200-220 division. I weigh 209 and don't wanna fight guys that cut to make 220.
Thanks for the responses guys.

Follow this advice. You should be easily able to make it into 190-200 class.

cutting weight = stupid
if you aren't used to doing it, it can fuck you up...
the first tourny i was in, i cut from 182 to 166 and i lost b/c of that...
i had no strength, no cardio, and got my ass kicked by someone that i would have beaten to death at my natural weight...
