300 Burpee Challenge

For those looking for another challenge to kick your ass, try the real 300 challenge!

Thers is one over at ross training, see: http://www.rosstraining.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21584

Perhaps it could be one of the new rotating monthly challenges?

I just did it (30:55) and probably will never again in my life!

Man, you guys are freaks. Nice.

I'll hit this up after I improve my 100 burpee time to a respectable time.

100 burpees still kicks my ass and leaves me ready to barf.

Are naps allowed between sets? And massages? I think a good 5 minute power nap and a quick massage around the 150 mark and this is doable.

This crosses the line for my purposes. Not saying it shouldn't be done, but for an athlete in my position? I don't think so.

Currently, I think I would just fall over and die. Maybe at a later stage I'll give it a try.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject, I don't see what I would gain from doing this. But maybe I will give it a try after I get my 100 burpee time down sub 5 min.

If nothing else, couldn't you gain some endurance from it? It's not like I'd make it part of my routine, but 100 burpees a week for sure.

I should clarify this.

It's a simple fact that as duration increases, intensity decreases. If intensity does not decrease as duration increases, then you weren't going hard enough in the first place. So, in the interest of preserving intensity, burpees over 100 reps straight don't make much sense to me (although I routinely do more than 100 burpees in circuits, but that's a different beast entirely).
