155 or 170?

I've been training to fight and now i have my opportunity in the xfo in chicago. but what weight class? i weigh just over 170 so should i just cut to 170 or should i take advantage of my size and cut all the way down to 155. i have my choice of either. i only have about a month and a half. any suggestions. if it matters i'm more of a stand up fighter.

I would say, if you don't have experience cutting that much weight, you would be best to go at 170. Dropping that much weight can seriously deplete your energy and strength if you are new to cutting.

do you have experience cutting weight? if you do then i would say do it but if youve never cut weight before then you might not want to make that much of a drop your first time.

do you wiegh 170 when youre walking around or after you finish your workout?

it is totally possible, there are people on my team dropping like 16 or 17 pounds
