Very well. I'll try out the 45lb challenge on Tuesday and see how that fits.

Still, I think I'll have to make an attempt at 35lbx500 at some point for the sake of curiosity/masochism.

Since I haven't lifted in a long time I did the 35.
Wasn't bad at first.

(db handle=6lbs)
36 lb dumbbell snatch x 100
Time: 5:10
Weight: 169 lbs.

Fun, but I felt it immediately after. EVERYWHERE.

Speaking for relative beginners everywhere:

165

20x20x10x10, one twenty second breather, 10x10x10x10@37lbs. = 5:23

It didn't even moderately suck. I repeated a couple of reps that didn't cut mustard. I defrosted 16 ounces of sirloin in the microwave during this challenge.

Question: In your opinion, how much faster would I have to go before it totally sucks?

Depends on your conditioning. If it felt to easy try for a shorter time or use a heavier bell.

It started sucking for me at about my 70th rep. Then the form got sloppy and I had to repeat some ugly reps.

I'm about your size too, but my muscular conditioning is definitely my weak point.

Challenges like this give me incentive to improve it.
